Fin Handling

An experienced engineer once described handling fins like handling smoke.  Although a challenge, proper handling of fins will have a very significant impact on any heat exchanger manufacturing process. Optimizing core building is often a function of getting the proper fin in the proper location at precisely the right time.  Livernois Engineering has developed systems for handling fin since our beginning.  We were the first to offer a smart conveyor capable of running high model mix concurrently while feeding multiple core builders.

Innovative Automation, as a custom automation provider and partner to Livernois, supports fin handling through custom controls applications to improve the overall throughput and model mix performance on the factory floor.  Tridan International has developed several alternatives for fin handling to support collection and additional processing of those fin.
